Today we had another fine day of flying weather. The club is a group of very good people. We have had our election and our nice lunch provided by many of the membership. A special thank to Ron and His wife for their effort. Pat and Bobby supplied the dressing and their was so many other treats. I can not recall all that brought something, but it was all great! There is no price for smiles and we had plenty. That is what make the club a club.

Greg cleaned the club house today and brought the trash to the dumpster. Over all the club house looks good and we will keep it that way for sure. With the large turn out for the election/Christmas party we had no real problems. Everyone picked up and help out after the party.
Now for the officers. A special thanks to Jim for staying with treasurer. Al has taken the secretaries job. What can one say about Richard taken the safety officer's job once more. Secretary, treasure, and safety officer are the jobs that are the real jobs in the club. Many have said that it was very good of Paul to take the job of vice president. I for one thank each of these members for accepting these jobs for the clubs.

David is doing the web site. He has been doing it for some time now. David, I feel I can speak for all the club when I say thanks. David is getting some help from Nathan. This is the club web site and we should try to exchange ideas and stories on the site. Today we had seven folks out flying. Sunday we had a flying session. Each time we take to the field we have many good and sometimes amusing stories. They should be shared.

Our club is starting several years this new year. Each new year we seem to all reflect on the past. Today in the club house I looked at some of the pictures on the wall. The other day I went to the web site and seen the pictures of the old flying field. Years of tradition in this club. To my best guess this flying club is about fifty years or better old. In those years there has been some really great people that have worked hard to get our club where it is. It is sad to think we have lost some of those folks over the years.

The club paid a special tribute to one of the club greats. Chris served as Vice President, training guy and just a good guy. We left his VP office open in his honor. Chris is one of many in a long list of those that have served model aviation on the Coast for many years. So Chris, our friend, you and all the other will always be with us. THANKS to each of you.

Now for the new year. Our club has made it's choice. May happiness and good will be with each of you. It is my hope and prayer that we can enjoy the season and the next year with joy and friendship. As we meet and plan for our future and the future of those to follow. I ask each of us try to never forget, this is our club, the members. You all have a right to make your feelings known. Is not the club a place to go and enjoy yourself?

Your President says Happy Holidays.
Jerry would like to say,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Jerry Gollot
