How do we say thanks to all the folks that came to our fly in. How do we say thanks to the good people of Harrison County. How do we say thanks to all the Members that worked so hard to make the event so good. The only way I can think of is, THANK YOU! A special thanks to our AMA officials and our AVP Paul for recognizing the efforts of the Good People Of Harrison County.

Dear Sir and All Members of the MCRCC:

My name is Sally Miller and I am Arnold's sister. I just read Jerry Gollot's tribute to my brother and my heart is so full of pride that I wanted to write and tell you how much you all meant to him.

For years I have listened to him talk about how proud he was to be a member and how your Flying Club was the best he ever found. I got the impression that MCRCC could, and did, out-do any flying club in America in my brother's opinion. From your grounds and facilities to your cookouts and most especially your members he never stopped raving about ya'll.

When he took his breaks from the Chemo it was to come home to Mississippi and recharge his soul. He couldn't get there fast enough--and he couldn't get to the flying club fast enough, either. I think you guys kept him going and for that I will be eternally grateful to you all.

He was my hero and my big brother and he was your friend. Thank you for all you meant to him and for your lovely words.

Your friend, Sally Miller

Here are some pics from our Spring 2012 Fly-in:

This is a picture of Our Friend Arnold Miller doing what he loves. Telling a new guy about the joy of model aviation. This picture was taken when the county was doing the field. Like always, Arnold was there to lend a hand. Arnold had a love for model aviation and a friendship for those that shared that love. Now he has been lost to the horrible sickness of cancer. Arnold never complained about his illness. He tried to stay focused on flying and the club. Up to the last he shared his knowledge and skills with all that would listen.

All of us admired his work. Everything from his obsession with redoing ARF kits to breaking in a new engine. When I first met Arnold he was mowing the field. Many of you may recall that Arnold was always one of the first out for a work day. All that shared time with Arnold will have that empty space. A flyer missing at one of the pilot stations. That empty chair he would spend time talking about all those wonderful things that make up model aviation.

So let us all take that moment to reflect on all the good things that Arnold brought to the club, model aviation, and to his fellow flyers. It would also be a good time to reflect on the horrors of the illness Arnold suffered with. We all knew he was very ill, but we would have not known it talking to him.

Arnold Miller, we salute you. May the breeze always be soft, the air cool and the flying great
