The 2005 MCRCC Christmas party was held at the Bob Miller flying field on 12-11-2005, our normal club meeting day. Elections were held. Paul V. gave up his position as the club treasurer to Jim F. after 6 years of good work. President and VP remained the same. The field is soon to start having maintenance performed.

The food was great! The wind was not bad, and a good time was had. We had some great raffel prizes given out this year, including a .40 size Ultra Stick and motor won by Nic as well as a .60 size Ultra Stick and motor (best $5 I ever spent). Like to thank Mario for buying the big prizes as well as Orange Grove Hobby for their discounts/participation.

What a great weekend for flying. Nice and cool with a light breeze. Finally flew for the first time since Katrina, what a blast. I didn't see any wrecks, I did see plenty of old faces and new having a good time. I saw Tim fly the coolest tiny electric helicopter. Also caught up on some Katrina stories from long time members. Found out that Norm E. is now going to be living in Florida on a permanent basis. I also figured out how to fly my Swift again, and had a blast doing so, what a relief it is to fly after such a long time.
